If you have found a stray animal, need to surrender an animal, have question about an animal you have adopted from or seen posted at the Jackson County Animal Shelter, please contact the shelter at 228-497-6350 (Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
FJCASP is made up of volunteers who have come together to help assist the shelter through service, volunteerism and aid in the form of fostering, donating needed supplies, hosting adoption events, and offering our time and individual talents in order to best serve the animals.
FJCASP functions as a democratic group comprised of a BOARD AND ELECTED OFFICIALS. All major decisions are made at monthly group meetings (1st Wednesday of every month) and voted on by existing FJCASP members. While all participation is on a volunteer-basis only, to be a member persons must attend a minimum of two (2) FJCASP events and be voted in by a majority of existing members.
