Transport

About Transport

In an effort to save the lives of as many dogs as possible, FJCASP works with rescue partners in other areas of the United States. Our FJCASP foster dogs usually get to these rescue partners via transport – most of which leave from Slidell or Mobile. When the dogs reach their destination the partner rescues will either have an adopter or a foster waiting for them as they get off the truck.

For a foster dog to be put on the transport truck, the dog must be out of the shelter for 2 weeks, spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and have a fecal test & health certificate (HC) issued the week of transport.

If you can’t foster, but want to help, we can always use help getting the dogs to the transport trucks.
